In order to uncover the truth that was buried, you must first accept the lies you tell yourself. Journey into a mind in which memory and myth have merged. This intimate, autobiographical piece explores truth, memory, escapism and disassociation of someone who has experienced childhood trauma.

Katia Del Rio Smith (They/Them) is a performance maker with a background in Music, Theatre and Design. They studied Theatre at the University of Bolton where they explored autobiographical, solo performance to explore social issues. Over the past year, Katia has used the MA to develop their performance practice, illuminating a preoccupation with autobiography, mythology, objecthood, darkness and immersivity/interactivity. Through their work, they wish to create worlds and experiences that challenge audiences.
